The original idea of WooDone was born in 2009 by Thomas Oberegger and Klaus Tavella, two young South Tyrolean entrepreneurs who, inspired by the lovely landscapes of the Dolomites, decided to create something new in the eyewear world: handmade glasses with wood South Tyrol made in South Tyrol.
After two years of prototypes and attempts, the desired result is finally achieved: a unique feature frame made of a single piece of wood.
In November 2011 WooDone was founded and in January of the following year the first WooDone model at Opti Monaco was successfully presented. Since then, the two entrepreneurs continue to work to perfect their product until in August 2012 they get the definitive sample. In September, at Silmo in Paris, WooDone debuted with a complete collection of eight models in three different types of wood: cherry, acacia, walnut.
WooDone has created the MyWoodi collection, made in Italy using wood from all over the world, MyWoodi glasses are characterized by a clean and linear style that is very modern and extremely cool. MyWoodi was born from the WooDone company, a reality that has now been widely recognized and appreciated all over the world for the collection of homemade glasses of high quality wood and quality. With MyWoodi, the two entrepreneurs Klaus Tavella and Thomas Oberegger want to revolute glasses market and make them affordable for everyone. A winning challenge. After a year of attempts and prototypes, the team of MyWoodi has managed to get a wooden frame made of machines specially designed for this purpose.
